Cadbury Roses are a selection of individually wrapped miniature chocolates, made by Cadbury UK that entered the market in 1938. They are named after the packaging equipment company that manufactured and supplied the machines that wrapped the chocolates, Rose Brothers (later Roses Forgrove), based in Gainsborough, England, who designed patented early packaging machines.
Roses are inexpensive chocolates, containing a small proportion of cocoa solids, and a high proportion of vegetable fat. A large packet can be bought cheaply, making them a common stand-by gift choice due to the variety of contained chocolates. They are an extremely common gift on Mother’s Day and sell well throughout the Christmas period. They are available in tins, boxes or jars and currently contain 10 different varieties of chocolate:

Cadbury Wispa is a chocolate bar made by Cadbury UK. The bar was launched in 1981 as a trial version in North East England and with its success it was introduced nationally in 1983. It was seen as a competitor to Rowntree’s Aero (Now owned by Nestlé ).

Cadbury Mini Eggs is a milk chocolate candy produced by Cadbury UK and Cadbury Adams (in Canada). Introduced by the Cadbury company in 1967, they are sold specifically during the Easter and Christmas season. The egg is solid milk chocolate encased in a thin coating of hard candy “shell”, molded to resemble a miniature egg. The yellow egg is a floral flavour, designed to bring out the Easter theme.

Cadbury Crunchie is a milk chocolate bar with a “honeycombed” sugar centre. It is made by Cadbury UK and was originally launched by J. S. Fry & Sons in 1929. Fry had merged with Cadbury in 1919 and Crunchie later became a Cadbury brand.
