Brut is the brand name for a line of men’s grooming and fragrance products first launched in 1964 and currently ranked among the top 3 men’s fragrances sold in mass. Original Brut, which now includes aftershave balms and deodorant, was first introduced by Fabergé. Packaged in a green glass bottle with a silver-coloured medallion, it was viewed as a prestige product, and is still sold in France as such.
In 1968 a budget range was marketed as Brut 33 because it contained 33% of the fragrance of the original product[2] and was packaged in cheaper plastic bottles. Continue reading
